Summer in NYC: Places You Can Save $$

There's no doubt that going out in New York City can be taxing on your bank account, especially if you're going out every night. Now that it's finally summer, the sunshine has also brought a ton of fun activities you can do for completely FREE!! Yes, I said free girl! So let's jump right into it.

1. A Romantic Movie in the Park

Going to the movies is a classic date night but imagine being laid out on your blanket, under the stars with a view of the NYC skyline in the background while you're watching a movie? uhhh... now that's a date I wanna go on! And of course, the best part is it doesn't cost a thing.

Bryant Park Summer Film Festival - showing every Monday night, 8pm (June 10 - August 12)

Lawn typically opens at 5pm, see full schedule here.

Central Park Film Festival - for one week in August, Central Park hosts evening screenings 8pm (August 14 - 17)

Lawn opens at 6:30pm, schedule TBD

2. Catch One of Your Fave Artist in Concert!

Mingle at one of Brooklyn's most anticipated festivals of the season - BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival (June 4 - August 10). See the likes of Patti LaBelle, Protoje, Burna Boy, DJ MOMA & so many more. Full schedule here.

3. Get Outdoorsy!

Enjoy the outdoors without having to leave the city! You can kayak along the Hudson River (May 18 - October 13). See full details here.

If you're looking for some fun on the sand, Beach Volleyball is definitely your thing!

It's a great way to meet people if you're new to the city while enjoying the view of Tribeca in the background. See more info here.

4. Take a Free Tour

If you're a beer lover, you'll love this tour of the Brooklyn Brewery! Learn how they make your fave, refreshing drink every Saturday and Sunday. The tour is free and afterwards you can sit back and enjoy a glass for yourself in their Tasting Room. See more info here.

5. Workout w/ your Faves!

It's never too late to get that summer body ready girl! This summer the Meatpacking District has teamed up with the Wealth Collective and Samsung 837 to host sweat sessions at Hudson River Park (14th Street). There's a variety of classes to choose from including yoga, dance, boxing, pilates and more. You can sign up for classes here.

Don't say I never shared any gems with y'all! haha!

Hope your summer is as lit as you are! Continue to be amazing and let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for reading! xxx
