#TheTravelingBanc : Hotel Review, SLS Las Vegas
The SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is just one of the many gorgeous properties in the SLS hotel group. This chic casino hotel is located just 20 mins from the McCarran International Airport and anchors the north end of the strip. It was also recently renovated in August 2018 so I was very intrigued to experience Las Vegas for the first time in the new SLS.
I had the opportunity to stay for 4 days and 3 nights in the Grand Tower King room (formerly known as the W Hotel) which has its perks, including VIP check-in, access to the rooftop pool, and its very own lounge in the lobby area. Although we partied ... A LOT, coming back to my room every night was the best feeling!
This edgy European-style room is outfitted with
- plush bedding
- wall-long luxury couch
- fully stocked bar
- full-length mirrors everywhere (but terrible lighting!!)
- both standard and rainfall shower
- closet w/ robe and safe
Not to mention a little peek-a-boo glass screen between the bedroom and the shower! So cheeky, I love it!
One of the best parts of my trip was visiting Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres. I'm a meat lover so a steakhouse was an easy choice, especially one by Chef Jose Andres! We didn't have reservations but we were able to get a table within 5 mins. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with the energy of an open kitchen, steaks on the grill and the smell of some really good food.
The staff were really nice, informed about the menu and very professional. They looked after our every need and made some great suggestions from the menu. We decided on the Flat-Iron steak with valdeĆ³n blue cheese sauce, brussels sprouts petals and delmonico potatoes on the side. I'm literally drooling just thinking about it! Everything about this meal was perfect including the bombass mojito!
We didn't have much time to fully explore the hotel, between going out all day and night we only used the hotel for food and sleep haha!
What we did do is check out the Foxtail pool! It was pretty chilly that morning but we were on the West Coast so we HAD to get the bikinis on.

There are so many insta-worthy spots throughout the hotel but the entrance was definitely my fave... like hello! Do you see me?! WHO IS SHE? Haha!
