BITES: SUNDAY IN BROOKLYN

Sunday in Brooklyn is a three-story sunlit corner restaurant in ... you guessed it, Brooklyn - that offers breakfast, brunch and dinner 7 days a week.

I visited with a friend about a month ago with the intention of having brunch but of course, in true Nichelle fashion, we were late and completely missed it. Since we already made the trip, we decided to try the mid-day menu (which doesn't have as much options as their regular menus) but they did seem to have some good selections.

As soon as we were seated, the kitchen sent this over as a complimentary bite, the Maple cheddar biscuit, which was divine! I would actually say this was my favorite thing we had, alongside the champagne problems. Everyone needs a glass of champagne problems! One of the smoothest, tastiest drinks I've had and trust me when I say... I've had a FEW drinks honey!

My face when I ordered the fried chicken to be safe but this shows up...

I wasn't sure what to expect but this was the spicy Togarashi Fried Chicken and unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to :( but they were nice enough to comp the meal since we didn't have much.

Overall the visit was not as I expected but I'm going to assume the brunch options are generally better. The decor and service were A1! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, I will definitely try another visit but for brunch this time haha!
